Easiest and Best Way to Break Free from Anxiety Disorders – This Anxiety Disorder Causes Stroke and Heart Attack

Anxiety feels horrible in every way possible. But in most cases, it’s not considered dangerous to your physical health.

Except it is, according to a new study published in the journal Sleep.

A specific type of anxiety disorder causes high blood pressure, stroke and heart attack.

Psychologists call frequent nightmares that cause distress, prevent a quick return to sleep, and create a fear of going to sleep a nightmare disorder.

It is an anxiety disorder because nightmares are usually related to threats to your safety or survival.

It often, but not always, co-occurs with PTSD, and approximately four percent of Americans are thought to suffer from it.

The researchers recruited 3,876 military veterans who have served since September 2001. 73 percent of them had one or two tours of duty, and their average age by the time of the study was 38. Men made up 78 percent, while 48 percent of them were African American and 48 percent of them were white.

31 percent of the subjects met the conditions for PTSD as diagnosed by the clinical interview designed by the American Psychological Association.

33 percent of the participants reported frequent distressing nightmares, defined as two to three times a week.

29 percent of them had high blood pressure, 6.6 percent had diabetes, six percent had heart problems, 1.2 percent had had heart attacks, 0.7 percent had had strokes, 0.5 percent had atherosclerosis.

When they crunched the numbers, they established that those with frequent nightmares were more likely to have high blood pressure, heart attacks, and heart problems than those without frequent nightmares.

These relationships held even when they excluded PTSD from the results, meaning that frequent nightmares alone without PTSD put the veterans at risk of heart disease.

The reason why frequent distressing nightmares place people at risk of heart disease is unknown, but the researchers did speculate:

1. Such nightmares cause extreme anxiety, with sweats and pounding heartbeats that can contribute to heart disease.

2. When the nightmares are very distressing, they cause anxiety during the day with obsessive thoughts about images from the dreams. This can cause chronic anxiety and thereby heart disease.

3. Such nightmares disrupt sleep and often prevent a quick return to sleep. Many previous studies have linked poor sleep with heart disease.

4. They may cause sufferers to be afraid of going to bed, which leads to sleep deprivation. This has also been linked with heart disease.

Fortunately, we have a way to eliminate all types of anxiety disorders in only a few simple steps. I explain this in detail here…

Easiest and Best Way to Break Free from Anxiety Disorders – Vertigo and Anxiety Both Eliminated in One Blow

Over half of people suffering vertigo also experience anxiety or panic attacks, and researchers started to wonder if one leads to the other.

In a new study published in the International Journal of Research Science and Management, a team of scientists used a simple method to eliminate one condition, and the other disappeared with it.

According to one of the studies cited in the literature review of the new paper, around 45 percent of people with vertigo have anxiety disorder, while 15 percent tend to have panic disorder. The concern exists that these problems may become worse and even permanent if the vertigo is not treated quickly.

For this reason, two Indonesian researchers decided to examine whether anxiety and agoraphobia scores improved after treatment of vertigo patients with the canalith repositioning procedure (also called the Epley maneuver).

The researchers recruited 38 people who had been diagnosed with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) through a physical examination of the years and through eye-movement tests during head movements.

All participants were all 18 years or older. Those who were on medication, who suffered from any other ear or balance disorder, and who were known to suffer from anxiety or agoraphobia before the study were excluded.

After the BPPV diagnoses, the subjects were given questionnaires to complete for assessment of their anxiety and agoraphobia scores.

They then underwent the canalith repositioning procedure and were told to return for re-evaluation 7 and 14 days after the procedure.

Those who benefited from the treatment, which was pretty much all of them, also experienced a reduction in agoraphobia and anxiety.

Easiest and Best Way to Break Free from Anxiety Disorders – Obesity and Anxiety Connection

In many places, the majority of people are obese.

And it seems like almost everyone is suffering some level of anxiety these days.

But until now, no connection has been made between the two.

A new study published in the journal BMC Medicine found that those who were obese were more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety – a dangerous and potentially lethal combination.

The study was performed on Swedish children and teenagers. The researchers first identified those who had received treatment for obesity between the ages of 6-17.

Subsequently they checked how many of them were treated for depression or anxiety.

They compared depression and anxiety treatments between obese and normal-weight children. They established that people who were obese as children were more likely to suffer from depression or anxiety disorders later.

Another research team conducted a review of all the scientific literature on the relationship between obesity and anxiety – this included 16 studies, 14 observational studies, and 2 longitudinal studies.

Overall, the observational studies showed that people who were obese were 40 percent more likely to suffer from anxiety disorders.

Obesity causes anxiety because it is socially undesirable and leads to criticism, because it interferes with hormones and neurotransmitters that cause anxiety, and because it interferes with one’s career and economic status.

Anxiety can also cause obesity because people with anxiety disorders spend more time at home without exercise and they engage in overeating to make themselves feel better.

So, to fight both anxiety and obesity, we need to fight these two conditions on two fronts.

Completely Reverse Anxiety Disorder Naturally – Anxiety Disorder and Chronic Conditions Connection

It is tempting to think of anxiety disorder as a purely psychological problem.

The primary symptom is anxiety, after all.

But a new study demonstrates how physical health affects anxiety disorder and vice versa. Especially when it comes to chronic conditions.

Australian and Dutch scientists conducted a review of the scientific literature to answer two questions:

First, whether those with chronic conditions were more likely than their peers to suffer from anxiety disorders.

Second, whether those with these chronic conditions and anxiety experience worse disease outcomes than those with chronic conditions alone.

They found 53 studies between 1990 and 2018, 29 that answered the first question and 24 that answered the second.

The first 29 studies addressed seven specific chronic medical conditions: namely, asthma, congenital heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and sickle cell disease.

They concluded that the occurrence of anxiety disorder was significantly higher in people with each of these conditions than in those that were healthy.

In general, while only 6.5% of healthy people had an anxiety disorder, between 20 and 50% of those with one of these chronic conditions did.

The second 24 studies revealed more serious disease symptoms and outcomes for those with anxiety disorders. While they could find no studies on the relationship between anxiety disorder and epilepsy or congenital heart disease, the other findings were interesting:

1. Those with asthma and anxiety disorder were more likely than those with only asthma to have more severe asthma symptoms.

2. Those whose inflammatory bowel disease was accompanied by anxiety disorder had worse symptoms than those without anxiety.

3. Anxiety disorder was associated with worse pain in people with arthritis.

4. Anxiety disorder was associated with longer hospitalizations in people with sickle cell disease.

The studies were mixed with regards to diabetes, with some reporting poor metabolic control, while others reported improved adherence to a treatment regime, for people with an anxiety disorder.

Fortunately, it’s quite possible to completely reverse anxiety disorder naturally  if you follow the simple steps explained here…

Completely Reverse Anxiety Disorder Naturally – Anxiety Caused by These Two Factors

Social anxiety disorder is one of the most common anxiety disorders that involves a fear of being judged by others, an avoidance of social settings, and extreme anxiety and panic attacks when in the presence of people.

Because it is so debilitating, many researchers are working on solutions to it.

The latest of these is a study in the journal Mindfulness that shows that people with social anxiety disorder (SAD) lack two things.

Fortunately, it’s not so hard to regain these two things if you use the right approach.

In some ways, the connection among SAD, mindfulness, and self-compassion seems to make sense on the surface.

SAD is an exaggerated and irrational fear of being judged by others. Mindfulness is the ability to observe and accept the world without passing judgment on it. Self-compassion is the ability to be kind and non-judgmental towards oneself.

As such, it seems possible that people who are judgmental towards the world and themselves will also walk around with an exaggerated and incorrect belief that everyone else is judging them.

That is, if one of your most common thinking patterns is to judge, and to judge yourself harshly, you might imagine that other people are judging you too.

To tease out the relationship between these concepts, the authors of the new study recruited 136 people diagnosed with SAD.

They gave them the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire and a short form of the Self-Compassion Scale to complete.

They then compared their subject’s scores with scores obtained from the general population to see whether they differed.

Through more questionnaires, they also obtained their subject’s scores for depression, self-esteem, social adjustment, and satisfaction with life, just to make sure that none of these influenced their results.

They observed that those with higher levels of self-compassion and/or mindfulness had less severe SAD, less severe depression. They also functioned better, had higher self-esteem, and experienced more satisfaction with life.

Hence, both mindfulness and self-compassion together and separately affected the severity of SAD, but the effects of self-compassion were stronger.

People with severe SAD and low mindfulness can improve their SAD by learning self-compassion, even if they never improve their level of mindfulness.

The scientists theorized that this was the case because our tendency to criticize ourselves gives rise to a belief that everyone else is criticizing us too, which can easily become SAD.

Reverse Anxiety Symptoms Naturally -This Anxiety Disorder Connects to Pets

One of the reasons it has been so difficult to treat anxiety disorders is because there are so many types of it.

But a study in the Journal of Affective Disorders has connected one type to pets.

And no, it’s not about being afraid of dogs. It’s kind of the opposite.

Adult separation anxiety disorder (ASAD) occurs in people whose attachment to others coincides with extreme anxiety.

These adults have either a constant need for approval and/or are permanently preoccupied with their relationships.

Researchers wanted to know whether adults suffer from ASAD when removed from their pets, and whether it related to their attachments to humans.

313 adults completed questionnaires related to their attachment to humans and pets, their separation anxiety from humans and animals, and their perception of the social support they receive.

The scientists found that people who tended to suffer separation anxiety from their animals also experienced separation anxiety from people. This suggests that certain people are vulnerable to separation anxiety.

Moreover, people who tended to experience separation anxiety when away from their pets also perceived themselves as having less social support.

In general, separation anxiety was a lot stronger in relationships with dogs than cats, probably because cats are so independent.

People without children saw themselves as having less social support, they exhibited more people substitution, and they reported more separation anxiety in relationships with their pets.

Missing your pets is normal, but it shouldn’t cause you worry. To reverse anxiety symptoms naturally there’s only one real thing you can do – you to need to follow these simple steps…

Reverse Anxiety Symptoms Naturally -The Real Cause of Anxiety Disorder (not what you think)

In terms of worldwide health stats, 10 percent is huge.

This is the percentage of people that at some point will suffer from anxiety.

It is thought that there are many triggers of anxiety, but for many years it has been speculation or based loosely on old studies.

But now we have clear answers thanks to recent research recently published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

Scientists obtained information from 26,991 Canadians.

The participants were roughly half male and half female, with 82.5 percent having been born in Canada and 58.5 percent being aged between 45 and 65 years old.

Approximately 8.5 percent of respondents reported suffering from an anxiety disorder.

The scientists were specifically interested in the mental health of immigrants, with the hypothesis that they may be more likely to have anxiety disorders than those who were born in Canada.

This idea proved to be wrong.

It is possible, of course, that many immigrant’s circumstances improved so much after moving to Canada that they no longer consider themselves to be anxious compared with how they used to be. It is also possible that they have developed resilience due to their previous circumstances.

But even though their original hypothesis was wrong, the other findings were very interesting.

1. Younger people were 79 percent more likely than their older peers to have an anxiety disorder.

2. Women were 25 percent more likely than men to have it.

3. People who were single had an increased risk of 27 percent.

4. Low earners had a 28 percent increased risk.

5. People with multiple chronic health conditions were 2.73 times more likely to have this disorder.

6. People who suffered from chronic pain had a 31 percent greater chance.

7. People who smoked regularly increased their risk by 35 percent.

8. People with a body mass index score of less than 18.5 had an increased risk of 87 percent.

9. Those who ate less than three fruits and vegetables per day and those who ate one or more daily pastries had a 24 and 55 percent greater chance respectively.

This suggests that younger adults should receive targeted intervention to help them with anxiety.

It also implies that people with a low socio-economic status should be monitored for anxiety in case it becomes a problem for them.

Reverse Anxiety Symptoms Naturally – Redefining Anxiety Disorders

One thing that makes anxiety disorders so difficult to treat is how many different types there are.

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for example, is about something that really has happened.

Other anxiety disorders, on the other hand, are often triggered by something that never has hurt us (a fear of spiders for example).

For the reasons mentioned above, we welcome a new study published in the Journal of Anxiety Disorders, revealing a simple technique that heals a common type of anxiety.

This technique is already well known, but it just has never been used in this situation before.

Anxiety is often treated via a treatment called imaginal exposure. During a meditation session, you might vividly imagine having to confront spiders, go in an elevator, drive a car, and/or swim in a pool – basically you imagine anything that makes you anxious.

Because PTSD involves anxiety that arises from memories of real past events, the more common treatment is imagery rescripting, during which time you are helped to remember the events more accurately with the aim of teasing out the positive appraisals of those events that you originally missed. As a result, it leads to a complete alteration in your core beliefs about those events and closely related subjects.

Researchers divided 33 people with social anxiety disorder (SAD) into different groups – one received imaginal exposure, one received imagery rescripting and one received supportive counselling.

The thesis stated imagery rescripting would be more successful because, like PTSD, the anxiety in SAD is caused by past memories of being embarrassed in a social situation.

This was true. The problematic memories of the group given the imagery rescripting therapy became less vivid and intrusive and their core beliefs about themselves and their social worlds changed more than those of the participants in the other two groups.

This shows that SAD is closer to PTSD than to a general anxiety disorder, and it also proves that imagery rescripting works.

Imagery rescripting teaches you to re-invoke the memory first by describing it accurately, and then by imagining people who supported you and imagining calling out those that didn’t.
